Anyone Tried The Lemonade Diet?

LemonadeHas anybody tried the lemonade diet? I’m debating it with an active toddler, I don’t know if I can survive off drinks for 10 days. Any suggestions ladies. Thanks

Answers:

I attempted it, I made it about 3 days. It was too difficult for me though because I have type one diabetes. Just be careful and do as it says at the end of it. When you start to eat, start with liquids and soft food or else you could get sick or end up binging on food which undoes what you did.

What does this consist of?

Not tried it.

I’ve heard of this but I have NOT attempted it. I don’t think it sounds very safe. I’ve got a puppy, 15m old, and a special needs 3 year old, I’m too afraid I’d pass out.

I don’t even want to THINK about passing out in this place with my gang. They’d have this place torn apart in NO TIME.

It contains fresh lemon, water, maple syrup and kyien (sp) pepper. You drink that mixture and water and THAT’S IT! for 10 days. Its a detox as well.

Not a good idea

Crash diets like this are really hard on your body and you will most likely gain it all back. My mum’s a nutritionist and I asked her about this, she yelled at me, so that was enough to make me not want to do it.

Fad diets are temporary

I’m always interested to see the extremes that women go to lose weight. What I ALWAYS keep in mind is that eventually, you have to eat properly. Starving yourself or doing fad diets may work temporarily, but sooner or later, you’re going to have to eat normally.

I lose weight very slowly but I try to do it as healthy as I can. I do take vitamins and supplements like Acai, B-12, and Black Cohosh (that’s for the menopausal garbage). We eat relatively good food but being lactose intolerance is rough. I love dairy!

Diets do not work.

You have to change the way you eat forever. You could lose 100lbs eating healthy, but if you don’t continue eating that way to maintain your weight, you’ll gain it back, almost immediately. Slower is better, more healthy, you’re right about that!

“horrible”

My girl Tara tried it, I think she made it about 3 days and she said it was horrible.

You’ll also notice that as you get older, your body doesn’t quite REBOUND as easily as when you were younger. I’ve noticed that the things that my stomach could tolerate when I was in my late twenties, it sure won’t tolerate now.

I think if we can come up with a healthy, good tasting, meal plan. We’ll be one step ahead of the program. We’ve gut out frying foods altogether. We do fresh veggies and fruits as much as we can and chicken substitutes for beef more often (although I am a huge steak lover). I’ve even cut down on my sweets!

Do you have any menus that are geared toward people like me? I know I’m weird.
